Madrid, 16th June 2022 – BidX1, Europe’s leading digital property investment platform, today announced the expansion of its Spanish management team in advance of further growth in the market. The Company has appointed Francisco Ibañez Matía, who established Colliers International in Spain and later founded Domus Residential Services, as Managing Director of Commercial Real Estate in Spain.
Ibañez will join Daniela Marchesano, BidX1’s Director of Operations, and Jonathan Fenn, Managing Director of Residential Real Estate, as BidX1 gears up for expansion in Spain and across Southern Europe more generally.
Ibañez brings a combination of Real Estate and Private Equity expertise, benefitting from more than 20 years’ experience in these sectors. Most recently, he was a Director at Talde Real Estate, a leading Spanish Private Equity player.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Ibañez co-founded the Domus Group in 2013, comprising Domus Capital Markets and Domus Residential Services. Last year, the Group was sold to Hipoges Iberia, a company owned by private equity firm KKR.
Prior to this, Ibañez established Colliers International Spain, a Joint Venture with Colliers International UK, growing the business over the next eight years into one of the leading real estate advisory firms in Spain.
The appointment comes as BidX1 gears up for another phase of growth. The Company announced strategic investments from two new shareholders late last year: doValue, the leading Servicer in Southern Europe for loan and real estate management services, with €160 billion of assets under management, and Oliver Wyman, a leading global management consulting firm.
