To bid on a property at auction, you’ll need to register with us in advance.
We recommend that you complete your registration and pay your Bidder Security at least 48 hours prior to the auction to ensure you are approved for bidding.
Tip: You can pause your Registration at any time and continue later – the property will be in your basket or you can simply click ‘Continue Registration’ from the property page.
BidX1 is obliged by applicable Anti Money Laundering legislation to complete various checks and verifications – the documentation we ask you to provide is to comply with this legislation.
You can register to bid on a property from the property listing page – click the blue 'Register to Bid' button to start the process.
You will need a BidX1 account first. It's easy to create one – all you need is an email address and password.
There are two account types:
Personal Account: if you are buying a property as a private individual.
Company Account: if you are buying a property on behalf of a corporate entity.
If you already have a Personal Account but now intend to purchase a property via a Company Account, or vice versa, please contact us before you start your registration and we can arrange to switch the account for you.
If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, we require additional documentation – please check the 'Company Registration' section below.
Fill out your details – and then click 'Next'
If you are the successful bidder, the executed contracts will be issued with the name and address provided here.
Upload your documents. You will need:
Important: your ID document must be in date and your Proof of Address cannot be older than 3 months.
Additional Purchaser: If you are purchasing the property with another individual, you can list any additional purchasers at this point – they will receive an email asking them to verify their details and provide their own documentation.
(This will only happen once you have completed your own registration i.e. you must click the ‘Complete’ button at the very end of the process to trigger this email).
Review your details to ensure that everything is complete and correct.
Read and accept the Terms & Conditions.
When a lot is sold, a legal and binding contract has been formed.
We advise you to ensure that you have read and understood all the documents in the Legal Pack for the relevant property, and the Terms & Conditions, before bidding.
You’re almost there! Pay your Bidder Security by bank transfer – this should be a standard SEPA payment.
Please ensure that you have paid your Bidder Security in good time before the auction so that we can ensure you are approved to bid.
The Bidder Security is fully refundable if you are not the successful bidder.
We use Modulr to ensure payments are managed securely. That's why you'll see 'MODR' in the IBAN and 'MODRIE' in the BIC. You can find out more about Modulr here.
Important: We do not accept Urgent / Same Day payments.
If you are making a payment from outside Europe (e.g. SWIFT payment), please contact us in advance.
As soon as you have paid the Bidder Security, our team will get to work reviewing your registration. Once you’ve been approved, you’ll receive an email to confirm that you’re ready to go!
Meanwhile, you can try bidding before the auction using our Bidding Demo.
If you are registering on behalf of a company, you will need to provide the following documents:
