First Cyprus sale attracts more than 200 bidders

Following our launch in Cyprus earlier this year, we are delighted to have sold the first Cypriot properties through the BidX1 digital marketplace last week.

More than 50 properties were sold, from villas and apartments to offices and development land, in locations like Paphos, Larnaca, Nicosia and Limassol.

There were over 200 bidders registered for the sale, and we recorded almost 2,000 bids on the day. All of these bids, as well as the final sale price for each property, are displayed on the platform, offering full price transparency.

Our Cypriot team is led by Kritonas Onisiforou, who has spent the past few weeks meeting potential buyers at viewings and discussing the assets with them:

“The launch of BidX1 in Cyprus marked an important moment for the property market; I’ve experienced first-hand the appetite for an alternative to the traditional transaction model. The digital marketplace makes the buying and selling of real estate as seamless as possible and the local market has embraced the model's efficiency, transparency and accessibility.

“The property market in Cyprus is particularly dynamic, and last week's results underlined this. Liquidity on our platform on the day of the sale was €36.2m, indicating a significant demand for additional opportunities.”

New properties in Cyprus will be available on our platform in the coming weeks: keep an eye on our Cyprus page, or sign up for our property alerts.
