We are delighted to announce that BidX1 and Pollen Street Capital are the lead sponsors of this year’s Friends of Cross Cycle.
The event is organised to raise funds for CROSS Cancer Research, a charity which supports research into the prevention, detection and cure of cancer at St. James Hospital and Trinity College. It’s a really important cause – CROSS Cycle fundraising has helped purchase world-class research and medical equipment, used by over 60 researchers working in areas like breast and lung cancer.
Stephen McCarthy, Founder & CEO at BidX1, said: "We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s cycle, along with our partners at Pollen Street Capital. I know what CROSS Cycle fundraising has already achieved, and I feel privileged to be in a position to further support that work.
"Although this is BidX1’s first year as sponsors, it won’t by my first Friends of CROSS Cycle, so I know it will be another incredible experience this year, and I’m looking forward to bringing a BidX1 team with me in September."
The event takes place over three days, 5th – 7th September, starting and finishing in lovely Westport. It’s an incredible route, taking in the stunning rivers, lakes and mountains of Connemara.
Over €110,000 was raised in 2018 and we’re aiming to top that in September so it’s time to dust off the cycle helmet and take part in this fantastic event!
